LePage WINTeQ Window Installation System

At Adhere Distributors, we deal with only the very best products.  But, every once in a while a product comes along that makes us stand up and really take notice.  Thatís why we would like to dedicate this entire enewsletter to LePageís OSI WINTeQ Window and Door Installation System.  The OSI WINTeQ Window Installation System is the very first of its kind.  This warranteed, 3-component system is designed to coordinate compatible products to avoid window and door installation failure due to mis-matched products.

When it comes to windows and doors, itís a major investment in your construction budget and you want them installed properly.  Poor installation due to poor or mismatched products can lead to moisture penetration, mold and mildew growth, expensive energy costs and potentially expensive re-installs.  Not only does this system remove the confusion of what products to use, youíve also got the LePage guarantee of excellence to stand behind the products.

The three components, TeQ::Flash Butyl Window Flashing, TeQ::Seal window Flange Sealant, and LePage TeQ::Foam window and door foam were designed to work together so you can rest assured there wonít be any surprises at installation time.  And if thatís not enough, installation is warranteed by LePage when the 3-component WINTeQ system is installed by a certified LePage installer (up to $10,000 per household).  Certified training program to window installers for the WINTeQ system are available by LePage.

The WINTeQ Window Installation System Components
LePage TeQ::Flash Butyl Window Flashing

LePage TeQ::Flash Butyl Window Flashing is a rubberized butyl backed, self-adhering 15-mil membrane designed specifically to provide an air and vapor barrier around window and door flanges and joints and cracks in exterior wall assemblies.  Its foil backing makes the flashing extra durable, allowing it to be exposed to UV rays for at least 12 years.

TeQ::Flash is easy to apply, adheres to most common building substrates including vinyl, wood and concrete and is useful for other above grade wall flashing applications.  TeQ::Flash Butyl Window Flashing comes in 4 in or 6 in by 100 ft rolls and can be easily applied between -7 and 82C.

TeQ::Flash Butyl Window Flashing is first applied to the sill of interior of the rough opening for the window.  Once the window is properly in place, the flashing is applied over the nail flange and exterior of the wall to seal the window in place and provide an excellent moisture and vapour barrier.  As part of the WINTeQ Window Installation System, this product is fully compatible with LePageís TeQ::Sealant and TeQ:: Foam.

LePage TeQ::Seal Window Flange Sealant
Designed for the WINTeQ Window Installation System, this single component high quality sealant is ideal for back caulking vinyl or aluminum window nailing flanges and for sealing between nailing flanges and weather resist barrier and exterior sheathing.  TeQ::Seal adheres to wood, metal, vinyl, glass, aluminum and most common building substrates.

Low in VOCís, TeQ::Seal is GreenGuard Certified for Children and Schools.  This sealant is easy to apply in all weather conditions and has a rapid cure time when exposed to atmospheric humidity.  TeQ::Seal is permanently flexible, weather resistant and paintable.

As part of the WINTeQ Window Installation System, this product is fully compatible with LePageís TeQ::Flash and TeQ:: Foam.

LePage TeQ::Foam Window & Door Foam
As the final product of the WinTeQ Window Installation System, TeQ::Foam window and door foam is a minimal expansion foam for insulating and sealing around window and door frames and cures upon reaction with moisture to form a flexible, urethane foam.  It will not warp or deform window and doors.  Other applications for this product include sealing jambs, mud sills, header joints, corner joints, top plate penetrations, electrical and plumbing penetrations.  TeQ::Foam provides an R factor of 5 per inch of cured foam.  TeQ::Foam is an excellent product for insulating new window and door installations as well as for stopping air and moisture infiltration and expensive warm and cold air loss between windows and rough frame in existing units.  As part of the Win TeQ Window Installation system, TeQ::Foam is compatible with TeQ::Flash and TeQ::Sealant.

TeQ::Foam can be easily applied using the LePage WinTeQ:: Foam Application Gun.  This professional grade applicator gun has a 20.3 cm barrel (8 inches) and is for use with foam cans with valves.  With a Teflon valve and instant cut off, the WINTeQ::Gun makes application simple and clean.
